September fun!!
We are now settled in our room, have learned the routines of our class and have participated in many new and exciting activities. Everyday is an adventure! Some of the pictures below show some activities that we have enjoyed. Students have participated in sorting pom poms by color, sorting cereal by color, sorting picture cards by same or different, counting Pete the Cat's buttons, counting collections (to help with counting in order and for practice), practice writing sight words in shaving cream, putting coins in a slot and tearing paper to make a truck which helps with fine motor control, music class, playing outside, and talking about and drawing our family members. We also started reading in small readers, which use sight words and pictures, that make it easier to read! We are working on tracking, which is moving their pointer finger to each word as we read the sentence. This is difficult in the beginning but gets easier as we practice!!
